MOA signing on March 16 with Lynn, head of the Manila Hub; Karen, our motherhen amd mentor; and Quintin of the Library Renewal Partnership

For 2012, our goal is to open at least 12 libraries all over the country. All kinds of books in English and Philippine languages are welcome, but please check quality (e.g., textbooks aren’t answered, covers are intact, etc.).

I have two proposed sites in the Visayas, and for these I hope to gather more children’s books on the environment. The article “Nature Goes Missing From Kids’ Picture Books” is alarming.

Join us in making this come true!

How can YOU help?

1. Donate

• BOOKS
new or used books (we accept all kinds of children’s books as long they’re not a. used textbooks or b. used coloring books.)
• Bean bag chairs and rubber mats (old or new)
• Time and talent
We also welcome volunteers who can help us paint the walls, decorate the library and fix the books 🙂

2. Tell your friends

• Organize a book drive among your friends and colleagues!
• SPREAD THE WORD (blog/tweet about it, repost this, do an email blast, etc.)

Books may be dropped off at the office in Everest Academy (3846 38th Drive North, Bonifacio Global City) or we can arrange for pickup in Quezon City, Ortigas, Makati, and Alabang.

For inquiries, you may reach us at WEFshapersmanila@gmail.com and/or 0947-259-1802.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
